Comments:
Five hours of fun from home station (mostly Saturday night, 0300-0730z) during
my off-time from the NR6O remote (where I put in a total of 30 hours, mostly
80m, 10m and a bit of 40m).
Some great rates on 40m on Saturday night that felt like a CWT (plus many
familiar calls), peaking at 180 and averaging over 100.
Then there were the other times, with QSB/QRN necessitating many repeats of
serial numbers.
Happy to work a few Europeans (difficult for me, as there is a hill in the way),
including OH0T. Even managed a few Qs on 160, using my "TOG"
(transmitting antenna on the ground).
As usual, diversity helped on 80/40, using HF2V in one ear and Wellbrook loop in
the other. On 20, used KT34A tribander at 30' on the side of a hill facing SW.
1KW.
Great contest!
