Wow, wow, wow!!!
Decided to do SO from local station. Wednesday installed 10m 4el Yagi, fixed to
EU. Probably I will take it down to install it somewhere rotatable.
10m was amazing, it was open almost all the time. Had some great runs there, but
only EU.
15m was in good conditions, but my 4el 15m yagi wasn't. Just a few weeks before,
in ARI contest, it worked amazing, but now... I did some QSOs with it, but then
I realised that I'm stronger with 40m vertical. Managed to get some PYs and FYs
with vertical.
20m was in good conditions as always. Had some problems wit AS, very less JAs
and BYs... NA, was quite okay, I expected bigger pile ups from state side, looks
like that 20m 4el also need some repair.
40m was good! Finally that vertical is doing its job! At the beginning of the
contest 40m was crowded with NA stations, loud and easy to copy. I couldn't even
find space to do some CQ. At the very end of my 36h period, I managed to get
some ZM and VK, easy.
80m was like always. That Delta Loop looks like the best that I can squeez from
this location. Started there and easily got 75QSOs in first hour.
160m, still dont have a proper antenna and went there just once, didn't spend
too much time on Top band.
Overall I'm happy with score, but disapointed that I didn't got new YL record.
The old one stands from 2006. by YL3DQ, he made 2 174 040... I got really
close.
If i would have proper rotators and SWRs for all the Yagi antennas it would been
even better, place for improvements. I wasted too much time of turning
antennas...
Still some big plans at this place, but its been already 6 years of making this
station and I can finally see some fruits. 6 years of making station and I'm
only 22, HI!
