Comments:
Still perplexed by problems on 40m. Even receiving seems intermittent, as if a
relay is dirty or sticking somewhere. Getting chirps out of the amplifier above
about 800w, and think it even made one of my upstairs SMOKE DETECTORS chirp! Of
course I QRX'd to check on THAT --- no problems --- and switched to 20m, where
all is good. Except... no Europeans this morning.
Of course 40 is a great band but at least I can run full power on 80 and 20.
(And even with this wounded setup, way more on 40 than I ever did through 95% of
my ham career!)
