Comments:
Finally, got the kinks out and have inv L/FCP base tuning network switching
bands FROM THE SHACK. HOORAY!!!! No more trip to the shed to change bands.
Very noisy both 80 & 160, but good RBNs from both West Coast and Europe on
BOTH 80 and 160, so it appears the band switching from shack in good working
order. FINALLY....
Now I can add 40m to the 160 Inv L to go with the 80 extension. And get on with
the rest of the great shack rewiring project.
But the QRN is back. Very active thunderstorms in TX, LA, MS, NE, MO, IL, IN,
OH, NJ and Lahng Eyeland. That will noise up the band in NC in a way no RX
antenna can separate.
Nothing like a little progress to warm the heart.
73, Guy
