Comments:
Started out on 20 and all was going great until about 2:30 PM local time, when
the band suddenly died. Not a peep was heard on 15 and only static and a few rag
chewers on 40. Took a 3 hour break, rested, got some food and visited with the
wife. Restarted on 40 and worked some of the East Coast stations that had been
absent on 20. Finished up on 80 but the static crashes made it very rough, even
using the Rx loop and non-resonant antennas to listen on. No seat time on
Sunday. Had several period of sustained rates of over 125 with the largest
observed at 136. 825 Q's later the voice was starting to go. 73, NC6R
