A USA and JA rate fest from here in southwest New Mexico. After spending most of
the last month working at forest fires, I didn't have much time to prepare the
station. Was lucky that it mostly worked, and I was able to work around the
problems. As usual, I was lacking on European country multipliers (also know as
HQ stations). 40 was very difficult during the short Europe opening, due to
severe thunderstorms 500 miles to the northeast. Listened on 80 at the right
times, but not one European heard with a NE beverage through S9++ static
crashes.
Near the end it was fun to push myself to break 3000 QSO's and 2 M points.
