Comments:
Late start; trying to pick up a few more ZZZs after a restless night. Yesterday
I walked the 4 miles from my camp down to the Hudson River, only a few miles
from its headwaters, and got bitten by several deerflies (I think they were).
One on each hand as I tried to sign a trail register, and one on the right
forearm through my hiking shirt. Red, hot, swollen... I can hardly hold a pen
for writing and slept only a scattered hour or so at a time.
There's a lesson here somewhere... lemme think...
