Comments:

First time getting on for NAQP CW. Original plan when I joined the team was to
try out my new W2LI loop antenna for this contest. When I went to set it up I
realized the connector on the transmit loop was an N-Connector, and I didn't
have any adapters around. Certainly a lesson there in setting things up before
the day of the contest to make sure everything works.

I used my wire on the balcony, I started on 10 and 15 but didn't hear anything
and spent far too much time just spinning the dial there. I went to 20 after
that and all the signals were up and down, I tried to work a couple of 4-landers
but the band was just too up and down and my copy skills lacking.

My wife brought home Fish Tacos from a local place I like so I took a long early
and break and had lunch with her. I got back on and worked a few more but with
the compromise antenna and my poor ears I just didn't have the patience to stick
with it. I ended up watching a movie with my wife before getting back on.

40 was better in terms of signals, but quite a few that just couldn't hear my
weak signal. I did try calling CQ for a bit after folks left for 80 and I could
find a spot, worked a couple while running but it was very slow going so went
back to S&P and snagged a few more before deciding to call it quits.

Thank you for those who did pull my weak signal out! Hope to have the loop
set-up for NAQP SSB and we'll see how it goes.
