Comments:
Got on late and decided to run barefoot. Didn't have much trouble connecting
with the guys I called. At 0206, I saw K0VG in EN27 pop up. Got him and turned
the amplifier on. At 0213 saw W1KOK calling CQ. Didn't get him, but I kept my
antenna on W1. At 0222 worked K0JP in EN18. At 0223 got K1SIX (who eventually
got up to plus 23 signal strength) and got NE1B at 0223. Heard K1TEO and called
him, but he went away. So this double hop opening window was very narrow,
indeed. The band stayed open from CN87 to W1 for at least 35 minutes, but
apparently there were few participants back east looking out this way. But, it
was fun working double hop E in the latter part of August. 73, Paul K7CW
