I did a brief portable operation from Chase County late Sunday morning on 20M
SSB after dropping off our Grand Daughter to her mom. Station was FT-991A, 11
foot whip in car with a MFJ tri-mag mount and tuner The site seemed nosier than
usual, and I had trouble finding an open frequency. I called many CQ's with no
takers, then at 1726z the light came on, and I put 10 stations in the log in 10
minutes. Last station in log K1EEE in Maine. I also operated from home in
Douglas County, report to follow.
