Comments:
Geomagnetic activity has been quiet lately, so attenuation
was low and finally we got some decent level VE/W-signals.
Also through a hint from buddy Rhino/OH5RP, I was able to
work the North Pole in the form of DP0POL/MM just a few
minutes before CWT started.
First time I was able to work up to the symbolic 73 Q's.
My 14 MHz pile-up was good, but I was surprised by the
number of weak signals answering, so I am afraid that
with the noisy vertical I am possibly missing a number
of callers. That tends to happen while running HP anyway.
The intermediate 20 minutes I spent on 7 MHz were even
markedly noisier, but the half wave vertical puts out
a nice signal over the various industrial metal roofs.
Thanks for the Q's with OH2MZA/OH3BCX/OH5ZA in CW Open!
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856
