Comments:
OUR VERY LIMITED CREW DECIDED TO RUN TWO CONTESTS AT THE SAME TIME. WAE AND ARRL
SEPTEMBER VHF. BASICALLY THE MULTIPLIER WAE STATION WAS ASSISTING THE OP
RUNNING THE TWO VHF STATIONS WHEN HE OR SHE COULD. TWO METERS WAS INCREDIBLE AND
ONCE AGAIN PRODUCING MORE GRIDS THAN 6 METERS WITH OUR 2 ELEMENT OMNI
DIRECTIONAL PHASED ARRAY RUNNING ONLY 100 WATTS. WA3EKL MENTIONED HE WAS
ACTUALLY HAVING FUN OPERATING TWO VHF STATIONS AT ONCE BUT YOU HAD TO PAY
ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU WERE DOING. WE BETTER THAN DOUBLED LAST YEAR’S SCORE
WHICH WE ALL FOUND AMAZING. TRIED SSB THE FIRST HOUR AND ONLY FOUND 4 STATIONS
ON 6 METERS. CHECKED FOR FT4 ON 6 AND 2 METERS SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE CONTEST
AND FOUND NO ACTIVITY THERE. DID WORK ONE FT4 STATION WHO WAS SOLICITING
CONTACTS ON FT4. THIS WAS A FUN AND INTERESTING CONTEST. THE FOOD AND OPS WERE
GREAT. MANY TNX TO ALL WHO CONTACTED US. SEE YOU IN THE NEXT ONE. 73 FROM THE
CREW, WA3EKL, N3DPB, K3LU, KB3VQC, KA6PNL, K3MTR.
