Comments:
Main purpose for getting on the air was to chase a few rovers in 6m grids I need
for the FFMA chase, however I used the weekend as a chance to test out station
modifications as well. That said Tropo was good, meteors were good, and the new
QTH I moved into in May (and used for the June contest with friends) has proven
to be very quiet, and I can hear a lot of things I've never been able to hear
before. I had the 6m beam on the air the entire weekend, but stayed completely
digital since I was multi-tasking and spent a lot of time remote into my Shack
PC via my tablet around the farm. Only had 2m on the air for 2 hours Sunday
afternoon as I was testing a repurposed 2m5wl but it worked well and made a few
bonus contacts I wasn't planning on. All in all good weather, good conditions,
and a nice casual approach made for a fun contest.
