Comments:
Interesting propagation this weekend. Only worked 3 UA stations- I heard a few
more CQing but they couldn't hear me. Signals overall appeared to be down as
compared to normal; after the contest, I read about the Northern Lights being
visible at lower latitudes, so I know what the problem was. First night
propagation to Europe was okay, Second night wasn't so good, but it did seem to
get better for the last couple of hours to Europe.
I needed 2 more European QSOs to make 200K, and I had 8 minutes to go, so I
figured it was in the bank, but I never made it. Last 8 minutes of the contest
netted 1 USA QSO, leaving me still 2 European QSOs short!
Best DX of the contest was A65DR, ZM4T, and VK4QH.
