Comments:
The rove tonight was spurred by a schedule request from a station I had worked
on 2 meters during this past weekend's tropo event. Although conditions didn't
permit that schedule to succeed tonight, I did find a couple of stations on and
proceeded to work them from EM54, 55, 65, and 64. I believe there was at least
one other station who tried to call while I was in motion in EM54, but either
they or I were drifting such (or being affected by multipath) that I never
decoded them.
Amusingly, my deer sighting total (9) exceeded my QSO total, but it was still
fun to test out my 222 station as I continue to refine it and make it more
robust.
Rig: Elecraft KX3 driving a DEMI 222-28 25W transverter
Antenna: M² HO loop used for all QSOs. Directive Systems 10L rover yagi
tested before dark tonight & ready to go for future activations but not used
for contacts in-contest.
