Start of contest coincided with the first LP opening into Europe's morning was a
great one and yielded good runs and some 100 QSOs. The second LP opening was
good, but very noisy with local QRN/splatter down here and an enormous southern
EU QRM for a run of some 50 QSOs. That opening got under way less than an hour
before the end of the contest.
Using a K3 and amp putting a kW into a 40m vertical with raised radials (8).
My Beverage rx-ant was not of much use. Needs a checkup.
Looking forward to next week's Oceania CW leg.
