Comments:
After operating M/S in this contest last 4 years I wanted to try something
different and so I decided to try to beat 10 years old LP record. Also, Single
Ops can win wine... I also still don't have dedicated AC in my small shack room
and as weekend weather was very hot LP kept the temperature tolerable in shack.
My strategy was to operate as much CW as possible as it works better for me when
trying to run both radios and also point difference is beneficial. I only went
to SSB when it got really slow on CW. 76 % of my QSOs were on 20 and 40, which
really work quite well for me in domestic contests, and this weekend low bands
were also very quiet. So I passed old LP record with more than 6 hours to go of
the contest. I only worked one VE6 on Sunday morning, never even heard another
one and also never heard VE8, so missed one mult. Tnx for CQP organizers, it
really is great contest from California and congrats to KI6RRN for also new
record in HP. There were also some big numbers with out of state stations, so
this contest is really very popular QSO party in US. 73 de Marko N5ZO
