Comments:
My wife (KG5ONN) and I went to the park for a bit and set-up an end-fed wire up
about 30ft with the spiderbeam mast. She made her first SSB HF contact with a
station in California. She doesn't have any interest in CW, which is perfectly
okay. Since I had the antenna up already I decided to go ahead and play in this
one. I have been doing the CW Academy basic class. Focused on sending by hand
and head copy, logging with paper.
I figured 10 contacts for my first one would be a pretty decent accomplishment,
I fell short of that as I spent far too much time trying to work a few that just
couldn't hear my QRP signal.
I hope to play in this one again, it's really good low pressure practice.
