Comments:
Signals seemed very, very weak, with disturbed conditions so turned on the amp a
minute before the start. I just didn't think I would be heard. East was weak,
but some Europeans called, washed out, and some guys were just a whisper. Some
prop to TX, AZ. At 1915Z only had 31, at 1930Z had 61. Went to 40 at 1942 and
conditions were much better with 55 QSOs in the last 33 minutes. Had 92 at
1945Z so conditions were attenuated there also. Not much sleep last night so had
to take a nap at the very end! SteppIR worked on 40, but the inverted vee
seemed better.
