Comments:
The first time in many years that I didn't put in a full effort. The W1NN
antenna farm is a mess. The 80 dipole recently developed a high SWR again after
just being repaired. It still works, just not very well. The tribander got
totaled in a storm and has been replaced by a low 20 Meter dipole. And since I
am stranded here in Japan, I was not able to put up my special Sweepstakes 40
Meter dipole that is about 20' higher than the regular one. My rates for the
first six hours tell the story: 55, 52, 44, 58, 35, 36. Normally I would have
a couple of 70+ hours in there and never anything below 50. I toughed it out
until local dinner time to get above 500 contacts, and threw in the towel.
>From what I saw, activity did not seem greatly enhanced by hoards of
stay-at-homers. It will be interesting to see how many logs are submitted.
Nice to see some action on 15.
