Comments:

It was not much fun doing CQWW from home after 18 years in PEI. Big antennas
high in the sky over dirt red with iron with a water shot to Europe beats a city
lot in LA (even with a high aluminum to lot square foot ratio.)

55+% of QSOs with JA. 9.8% with Canada. #3 in the log was BY with 3.5%. 7.3%
with all of Europe. No hour over 100, as opposed to few hours under 100. I
stopped after the first day.

Murphy visited the home station again. Just as the contest started, one radio
started showing infinite SWR. After an opening JA run on 15m, I did some trouble
shooting and found antenna port #1 on the K3 wasn't working. Switching the cable
to antenna port #2 solved the problem. When I thought I would get back on at the
end as fresh meat, I started having trouble with a serial port again. Still need
to troubleshoot that.

Hopefully, back at VY2TT next CQWW.

73, Ken, K6LA / VY2TT
