Comments:
What a blast I had - now back in CQWW CW from my home station after 4 years at
A44A for this contest :)
Equipment: Icom 756 PRO III, Furuno Marine Amp 300W, Hexbeam, 40m vertical
I did a complete rewire of the station automation and control system using the
YCCC MOAS II - that worked well mostly. The planned SO2R did not happen due to a
failure of one of my Dunestar band pass filters and some unexpected last minute
RFI - so went to a single radio right from the start.
10m was a great surprise and the money band closely followed by 15m where I did
not get any big runs like 10. Another surprise was that 40m seemed to be better
than 20 - but was able to run a few NA towards the end on 20.
It was fun working everyone - especially many old friends. It was good to hear
many other VU stations in the fray and also hearing the other big Zone 22
station 8Q7ZO banging away on any band I went to :)
