Comments:
Didn't turn on the radio until 0230 the the first evening. Was amazed to find
the band hopping. Bandscope looked like 40 meters in a big contest. Called CQ
and almost immediately had a huge pile up. An hour and 15 minutes later had 255
Q's in the log - over 200/hour. One of my best runs ever. Had another half hour
the next morning with a 200/hour rate. Made 398 of my 701 contacts in two hours
and 5 minutes. Took me 6 hours to make another 300. Worked all states on CW
except Ak, De, Mt, and Vt. Never heard any of those. Only 3 XE states. Missed
normally easy VE6 and VE7. Line noise to my west didn't help. Intended to put in
more effort on phone but when I went there Sunday afternoon there was not much
activity compared to CW. Should have tried it earlier. Really enjoyed this one.
