Comments:

That was fun for a few hours. Like all 160 contests, without good DX
propagation, it's a grind.

When 8 Europeans called in during the 01Z hour, I thought this was going to be a
great Stew. Was very disappointed that was about it - 1 more during the 06Z
hour, and a very weak TM6M at 0817Z. 4 KL7's called in, but that did not lead to
a JA opening. Only 7 total. Excellent signal from ZL3IX at his sunset, but
nothing else down there.

Using the 2nd radio for S&P was nerve wracking. The 2nd radio was only for
receiving. The RX antenna was far enough from the TX antenna that the receiver
wasn't being overloaded, but the TS-590SG does put out a lot of wide band noise.
It was S9 - stronger than most of the signals on the RX antenna. The process was
look for a blip on the spectrum scope. Put 2nd radio there. Stop transmitting
long enough to find out who it is. If not a dupe, use N1MM Alt-F6 to swap
frequencies on radios. Call the station. Alt-F6 after completing QSO to go back
to CQ frequency.

Thanks for the QSO's.

73,
Steve, N2IC
