Comments:
Pretty good score for 100w and a low wire. Dad's zepp seems to work much better
on 80m than my G5RV at home at a similar height. His antenna is in a flattop
arrangement while mine is an inverted-vee at similar height (+/- 40').
Tonight was a good exercise in head copy and my internal SCP, as I fought
adjacent signals all night. My Dad's radio, an FT950, is not as selective as my
FT1000MP at home, and is a long way from a K3 or similar radio. I know the
stations that crept into my passband were probably able to tighten their filters
and remove my signal from their passband, but I decided to stick it out as long
as I was able to be productive, and I was able to consistently make it work. I
was rewarded with perhaps my best CWT performance from here to date.
See everyone next week in 2021!
