Comments:

The Winter VHF SPRINT provided one great hour of fun to communicate with many
locals from both Ventura County Amateur Radio Society (VCARS) & Conejo
Valley Amateur Radio Club (CVARC),in Ventura Co., CA. (DM04).

A total of 14 unique callsigns are in my log, most of whom I had QSOs with on 2
or 3 bands.

I operated from the top of Tarantula Hill (1058 ft MSL)which I use for my daily
morning exercise walk. Today however, I wore a daypack which held my FT-817 , a
motorcycle battery, 2 handhelds, & my Yellow Pad. I used whip antennae for
all QSOs. I used SSB&FM on both 6 & 2 meters; 135cm was FM only.

Weather: clear skies, calm winds, & temperature rose from 45F to the mid 50s
by 9am.

TNX to the Rochester VHF Group for sponsoring this event.
