Comments:
Always fun! My first RTTY RU in 1993, little did I know that it would become
one of my most favorite contest. I haven't been able to operate in all since
that time, but many (work seems to get in the way of having fun!!).
Met and made many, many friends over the years. Some still with us, others have
gone on. But I appreciated the opportunity to know them all--as well as the new
ones that are coming along these days!
There was lots of activity it seemed. Many times I had to work hard to find an
operating frequency. Missed UT ND and NB NF PE NU NWT YT. Did work Alaska but
did not hear Hawaii. Worked several JAs and copied a YB but no luck. EU was
well represented it seemed and I might add with some big efforts.
Was glad to see that ARRL added a RTTY ONLY category. After all I agree with
others that have said that is is named "RTTY Roundup"!! I for one
hope that this RTTY ONLY category will continue!
