Comments:
This is the weirdest thing that has ever happened
to me during operation: the MT-3000A tuner gave
birth to an internal servo!! Several days I had
a problem with an unstable SWR on 7 MHz. It very
much resembled the creeping of SWR with undersized
ferrite transformers, BUT I did not have any for
this vertical... Tonight, while working DL5RMH
I saw the left hand knob of the tuner slowly
turn off-position. Once caught, it did do it
over and over again... very slowly... always
mis-tuning the antenna. It was not the weight
of the rotary capacitor blades (I know that
effect). I have to open it it and examine...

Usually we don't need an exorcist, but the
feeling was close... Despite this, a lot of
fun compared to the 1700Z Minitest-40. There
is a dip in the Winter 7 MHz conditions in
the 1600Z - 1800Z window at our latitudes.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 (had to block
the tuner shaft rotation with a screwdriver).
