The most points I've ever made working a contest. Worked 15m, then 20m where
most of the contacts were made, 20m dried up when the sun went down, moved to
40m, and then 80m where I finished up the night. Made my last contact 2 min
before the contest ended... kept working it. Even made a contact on 160m!
Calling CQ didn't work that well, made a few contacts, but most were as a result
of S&P. I need a number of states for WAS award, and if I get QSLs back
after uploading to LoTW, then I'm closer...only heard one Hawaii station, which
was weird because usually I can hear and contact a lot of Hawaii stations on 20m
as sun goes down.
The best part was hearing how excited and how much fun other hams in the club
were having. For a number of folks this was probably the first time they
participated in a formal HF contest, and they just ran with it. Totally awesome.
