Conditions seemed a bit funky with many Europeans being weaker than I recall
from past contests, including some running a kW. Made 82% of the contacts in
the first 24 hours with Sunday being pretty tedious leading to periodic napping.
That's a blunder of course, I should know better. I always struggle into Asia
in the mornings. This time I worked a few JAs and nothing else. I guess I need
more antenna height and maybe a Southern location to miss the aurora donut.
Congratulations to Phil K3UA at K3LR on a great showing. He was like a beacon
here on the low end of 40m.
