Well, that proved that although the 51 foot Field and Stream Special
(end-fed wire suspended from a 20’ fishing rod) actually hears
reasonably well on Top Band - living on the fifth floor with an extremely
poor counterpoise for a “ground”, it absolutely sucks on transmit!
