Comments:
Had my second COVID shot on Thursday and felt fine. Got in the chair Friday with
great expectations and then I hit a brick wall. Couldn't keep my eyes open. Felt
a little better Saturday but 100 watts and a wire just won't compete with the
Big Guns for DX. Still managed a few EU contacts on 20 and, surprisingly, even a
few on 40. But, my best runs were all domestic on 40 but the Canadians calling
in helped the QSO points. Saturday night, my wife and I celebrated the 50th(!)
anniversary of our first date. Got back on late and tried 80 but the storms
south of us caused such a high noise level, I didn't do too well. Sunday I was
able to work all EU I missed Saturday, and that helped drive to score up. Missed
the last hour of the contest due to other family obligations.
