Band conditions were poor. I operated from a noise free location 3 km from
home, to hand out a few random points from my county of DURham and was
successful. Got stations in CA and SC. Running 5W qrp mobile has its
challenges and makes it more interesting. At home, reception was much
worse on the Icom 756 ProIII. The little Yaesu 817 has great ears.
