What fun!
I ran Low Power most of the contest, but when I tried running on 15 meters, I
had no recourse but to switch on the amp (400w, approximately). That meant I
had to change LP to HP in order to get more Qs due to conditions.
I surely heard several stations responding to my CQ who, no matter how hard I
tried, I could just not pull them out of the mud. That made my heart sink.
But, major thanks to all who swapped QSOs with me. This is a great contest, in
large part to the simple exchange.
Big thanks to my fellow members of the Deep Dixie Contest Club who responded to
my cry for help soon after the contest began so that our club ranking could
elevate on the contestonlinescore.com site. We went from 70th place when I
began to our finish at 15th place!
Congrats, too, to all the many QRP and YL stations participating in CQMM.
