With a minute to spare I got the Flex PGXL to work. What a pain to have to fool
around with it when I turn it on. Slow start on 20, but it picked up and had 40
QSOs at 1915Z, 91 at 1930Z. It slowed a bit and I should have gone to 40
earlier than 1942Z. I managed to work a number of new guys from Europe. Things
were moving along, so went to 43 WPM at 1948Z. A couple CWA guys got through
quite smoothly. S&P was not very productive at the end and missed quite a
few guys. The rate was uneven and had it been good all the time I wou
Since the first CWT I "supervised" the roofers at my son's house, cut
branches off a tree that fell down at a neighbor's, repaired the SAL30, and did
a bit of work on the Titanex vertical. Soaked by the rain that finally arrived.
It was fun to QSO with NN1N since my XYL & I visited with Dave, his XYL and
dad yesterday. It's a long way on 2 lane road across the state! That was the
first day trip we have taken in over a year.
