N6ZE operated from 4 different locations within DM04: Tarantula Hill in Thousand
Oaks (DM04ne), a parking lot in Thousand Oaks (DM04ne), on Stunt Rd in the Santa
Monica Mts. (DM04qb), & a parking lot in Westlake Village (DM04od).
N6ZE used ALINCO handheld radios with a 33cm whip & a 23cm VJB 3 element PC
Board yagi at all 4 locations; on Stunt Rd (DM04qb), N6ZE also used a Yaesu
FT-736 & M^2 yagi and two Kenwood mobile rigs & M^2 yagi. All contacts
were on FM, with the exception of one 23cm SSB QSO.
Grids DM03, DM04, DM13 were worked.
3 members of CVARC were worked, as well as several members of PNWVHFS.
Weather: hazy, light winds, 65 deg. F.
Of 16 QSOs made on 23 & 33 cm, only 13 QSOs count because three QSOs were
repeated at longer distance. Score would have been 617 IF all QSOs were
included.
