Very entertaining contest! Nice to see all bands open.
My son was visiting for the weekend and the shack is also the guest bedroom, so
long off times both nights.
The first night was difficult with Europeans working each other. Was
frustrating to watch AA3B and K1ZZ run away from me at the start. Was starting
to wonder if my station was broken! Glad I was part-time as I never would have
been able to keep up with the leaders. Doing dual CQ in a contest with serial
numbers is beyond my skill level.
Worked one European on 160 and one on 10m.
I recall many years when 80m was noisy and it was difficult to make QSOs. Must
have been very quiet in Europe this year as I had some nice runs on 80 with very
few repeat requests.
Love chasing prefixes. Enjoyed being able to mix runs with some dedicated mult
(spot) chasing. I had set up my filters so I wasn't seeing spots of USA
stations. Had to find those the old-fashioned way.
