Comments:
This has always been my favorite contest. Had a ton of fun. Disappointed I can
no longer enter the TB/Wires category. Last year it was pointed out to me that
having an rx antenna is not permitted and this year I now have a triplexer so
for those 2 reasons I am not in that category. But having a hexbeam at 30ft and
no beam for 40mtrs sure makes me see myself in the TB/Wires category, hi. From
Sunday afternoon until the end of the test it sure seemed like my hex was
performing like it was bigger and mounted on a real tower. I think condx helped
with that theory. My 40m inv V even seemed to shine at times.
Already looking forward to next year when working more than a handful of EU on
15 might be in my future. 10 mtrs even seemed to be very decent later in the
day Sunday. I was working SA much easier than usual. Now if I can just put
some effort into improving my wires before the snow flies it could be even more
fun playing radio.
