Comments:
This was fun. Great propagation conditions considering the solar flux below 80.
The highlight was the 10-meter band which was open both days but especially the
second one. I couldnt resist to run for a frequency a while on this band and get
a few VE, W and South American stations. Some Western EU signals were also heard
on Sunday. E-sporadic affected quite a bit on Sunday the propagation on 20
meters so the EU signals were not that great as they should have been.
Propagation improved late afternoon and early evening. The 80 meters was very
noisy first night, but much better the second night. 40 meters was in a good
shape both nights.
My antenna "farm" included:
- 80m: inverted V @40ft
- 40m: inverted V @50ft
- 20m: inverted V @20ft
- 15m: GAP Titan (vertical multiband)
- 10m: dipole (manually rotatable!) @16ft
Radios: FT-950 and FXDx-3000
Thanks for Qs!
