Had hopes. As contest began QRN was manageable. Worked NP2X 45 minutes before
sunset. Then at sunset the QRN took over. At times could only copy two
signals. Took rest at 0300Z, up again at 0800, no signals at all, QRN the same.
Thunderstorms in Kansas, Missouri, Alabama/Georgia and in the Gulf of Mexico, a
perfect storm. Time to throw in the towel. 73, see ya in the pre-stew this
fall.
