Comments:
After a winter that wreaked the worst antenna damage seen here in 35 years, this
was definitely a "walking wounded" effort at 'AZ, with no 160m rx
antenna, the sole antenna on 80m being an elevated 4-square with all of the
elevated radials still down, the 20m and 15m yagis on the multiplier tower being
storm damaged, and -- the Wednesday before the contest -- a lightning hit taking
out the rotator for the multiplier tower, thus freezing the mult antennas and
the primary 10m antennas at 60 degrees. That said, a fun 24 hours was had by
all, and our traditional Saturday night grilled steak dinner came off with only
one or two bumps in the path. Big thanks to the Crew for several weekends of
hard work cleaning up the mess (including the Friday before the contest), and
for the several weekends ahead finishing the job.
