To sum up, propagation was poor to nonexistent.
I had intended to also at least work the locals on 2M and 432. I have an Astron
RS35A and a Mirage B1018G mounted in an outdoor rack mount cabinet and it is at
the base of one of my towers. I had tested it out on Friday and confirmed that
it put out 150 Watts into a dummy load. However, overnight the power supply had
failed... And I didn't even turn on the 432 gear.
I only had one contact on CW, and that was a local. I called CQ multiple times
while turning the beam every 45 degrees but to no avail. So 44 of my contacts
were on FT-8. This works out to only a miserable 12.8 QSOs per hour!
