The number of participants seemed to be down on both sides of the ocean. Number
of EU was low and many of the ones I heard were calling CQ without responses.
Doing S&P, I managed to find several EUs calling CQ that had not been
previously spotted, suggesting that NAs were (1) not spotting the EUs that they
worked and (2) the NAs were working the clusters and not doing much actual
S&P to find new stations. Reliance on the clusters was illustrated when a
new station was spotted and tagged as "NEW MEAT!" (Note that the
exclamation point is part of the quoted text.)
My operating time was limited because of recent back surgery.
