3 el Innov beam for 20m; 40m DE Zepp
Got a late start on 20m. First Q on 40m was at 0017Z. (1717 local time).
Scandinavian stations were begging for Q's on 40m up to about 0430Z but easy to
work from CA. Then it got difficult, as Eu stations began to dominate the
pile-ups. . then another good easy chance at about 0530Z. Band was open at
least 1 1/2 hours after Eu sunrise, with some incredibly strong signals. A
very strong OX3 in Greenland worked on 20m. OH0Z very strong on 40 and 20, OH0T
weaker. Many signals way over S-9. No Faroe, Jan Mayen etc.
Nothing heard on 15 or 80m.
Very enjoyable contest, good ops. Exceeded last year's 4300 score .
