Comments:
Another fun contest! Very enjoyable working so many fine operators along with
improved band conditions from last year. This bodes well for the upcoming CQWW
DX contests...
First 1/3 of the contest I used my KPA500 and it didn't live up to my
expectations; I wasn't being heard as well as I'd expected, so I switched over
to my Acom 2000A with 1500 Watts...that took care of being heard! Now I could
run 'em and hold my frequency. Only real problem was occasional HARD sticking of
the T2X rotator. The problem is definitely internal to the rotator. That's a
chore (to replace)for this 80-year-old guy...rotator seems heavier than it used
to!
