Using an IC-7300. Could not get the paddle to work for 18 minutes. I tried
everything; turned radio on and off (multiple times), unplugged and plugged in
the paddle (multiple times), plugged paddle into IC-706MKIIG (it work just fine.
Then I noticed that the "breakin" was not turned on. Rookie mistake.
I had been practicing off-air last night using the radio as a keyer trying to
improve sending speed and reduce errors. I forgot to turn the bk-in back on.
Thanks to all who worked me after I finally sorted everything out.
