Comments:
Band conditions were much better than I expected. Really fun contest although I
only worked about 7 hours. Got my booster shot on Friday afternoon and it set me
down on Saturday for a while. The antenna is stuck on virtually due north so it
was very difficult to work anyone in Africa and South America. Very nice opening
into the Middle East where I caught Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan Qatar, Oman,
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Saturday night was better into Japan than Sunday, but
catching JW5E, Zone 40, on Sunday was pretty nifty. Also, it was nice to finally
see the Galapagos islands on the air again.
