Comments:

CQWW 2021 CW was my first time ever remote participation in a contest as state
border between home and station is still closed due to Covid. John VK4CT set up
the radio side at our contest station and posted me the K3/0 with a remoterig
box which all worked flawlessly. I even didn't have an issue with latency
running pile ups on my side which I expected because of my very slow internet
connection here in country NSW.

The contest started a bit on the slow side but picked up pace when 15 opened
into EU. So far so good, everything went smoothly for the first 12 hours until
the band closed with around 1200 Qs in the log.

Then back in the chair again early morning. About half an hour into my first NA
run, Murphy visited: The solid state PA switched into fault mode, no idea why.
John was at the station and had a look, but couldn't find anything. We tried to
get a spare amp connected which turned out to be more of a pain than a gain.
After I losing a few hours of prime NA time I eventually decided to continue
with 100 watts and a more casual approach, just enjoying a few extended breaks
in between the one and the other S&P session until the band closed (a bit
earlier this time).

A few decent low power runs into NA during the final hours helped to boost QSO
numbers and score. Unfortunately SA multipliers were out of reach with 100 watts
from here, sure would have loved to have a higher multiplier count.

Thanks for all the QSOs and a special thanks to John VK4CT for setting up the
remote system and for being at the station when needed.
