Comments:

Excellent condx out here in the Black Hole Friday thru Saturday up to dinner
time. Have never heard EU so loud and workable on 40m Friday night. Good EU
showing on 80m as well. 20m reopened late Friday night as it did last year. EU
openings both mornings on 20m were incredible with long runs but needed lots of
repeats with incessant calling in the pileups. And MT is not even a mult in this
one.

Was hoping the K index would hold at 1 for the entire weekend but a CME had to
visit Saturday evening pushing K to 3. The low bands became washed out with QRN
but condx mostly recovered by Sunday morning. Quite a few rare countries logged
breaking thru pileups with some new DXCC adds: 3B8, EL2, 3D2, XV1, HS5 &
JW5. Makes a for nice change of pace from the much appreciated JA runs. Overall
this year played very similar to last year, with 15m open most everywhere plus
the 10m pipeline to SA.
