Comments:
It was good to participate in ARRL 160 using an original callsign from the
Transatlantic Tests of the 1920s. G6XX was used by RSGB for the fourth series of
Tests when it was heard all over North America in 1923.
The weather and radio conditions were not great with little heard here from the
west coast. The second night was slightly better with some additional ARRL/RAC
sections able to be worked further west. Best propagation was between 3am and
4am here and this was the only time when running was quicker than searching and
pouncing. Thanks to everyone who managed to pull G6XX out of the noise.
